Sandgate Country Park is a friendly, family owned and managed park. We have 38 plots spread across 9 acres all designated for privately owned holiday lodges.
Owning your own holiday lodge in the Lake District gives you a relaxing retreat which can be visited as often as you like for unlimited breaks – we have a full 12 month holiday licence. Where you'll find us
There are few parks with a setting to rival Sandgate Country Park which is set on the outskirts of Flookburgh village at the southern end of the Lake District peninsular overlooking Morecambe Bay. The park is surrounded by beautiful countryside, coastal walks and is only 20 minutes from junction 36 of the M6 motorway and from Lake Windermere.
The Cark-in-Cartmel train station is just a half mile walk and has excellent links to other local towns and major destinations. We are also fortunate to have a good supply of trusted, reliable taxi drivers on hand to serve the area.
About the park
We are a traditional family run working farm, surrounded by breathtaking scenery towards the Lake District fells and views over Morecambe Bay. We obtained planning permission in 2005 to develop the park through farm diversification. As a family we started work planting, screening and developing the plots and connecting the infrastructure services to suit a modern park.
During our time developing Sandgate Country Park, we have created a beautiful environment with protected open spaces, offering a wide range of affordable 2 and 3 bedroomed holiday lodges.
